Industry juggernauts Toni Abad and Bing Viray are the founders of Digital Fashion Week Manila and created the concept for this ground-breaking site. Both are armed with exemplary skills honed through notable tenures in different industries.
Toni graduated with a Communication Arts degree from the California State University, Santa Barbara and while in the US, she worked as a Fashion Merchandiser at Brea California and Nordstrom. Upon returning to Manila, Toni worked at L’Oreal before moving on to Rustan’s where she traveled often to Paris and Singapore as a buyer and for marketing conferences for premium cosmetics brands. After her stint in Rustan’s, Toni and Bing embarked on a career in PR with their own company Media Room Inc., handling the communications requirements of A-list personalities as well as clients from the fashion, lifestyle and property sectors.
Two more corporate powerhouse join DFWM’s executive ranks: Finance Director Carol Concepcion- founder, owner and Finance Director of CPE Foods, and owner and Director of Amelco Desiccants, Inc.- is an Ateneo Graduate School of Business CCE, who also has a Fashion Design certificate from the School of the Arts Institute of Chicago. Carol’s fashion savvy was put to good use as a stylist for famed Chicago photographer Tommaso Busano.
Editor-in-Chief Luis Espiritu brings an extensive breadth and range of experiences to the table. Luis’ portfolio reveals his influence and relevance in various sectors, from his work as creative director and fashion columnist for the Allure section of the Philippine Star, educator at SOFA teaching advance fashion styling and apprenticeship, bags and RTW designer, fashion stylist for print and TV advertising campaigns, to his stints as creative director for several prestigious luxury fashion and lifestyle labels.
Emilie Nauntofte holds an MBA degree from the University of Western Australia and is a Global Trade Leader awardee. She is the CEO and Director of several ISO-certified companies here and abroad. Her vast ad placement experiences in both traditional and non-traditional media give her the edge and expertise as DFWM’s Managing Director.
Bing Viray is recognized as a force to reckon with in the advertising milieu. She brings a wealth of wisdom as former consultant and director for various top-rated glossy titles such as Philippine Tatler, People Asia, Travelife, Mabuhay Magazine and Business Class. Her experiences with highly successful publications and network clout are valuable assets as she assumes the role of Managing Partner.
