INTRODUCING THE NEW YAZZKADA!

The digital age has changed the way we shop, work, and play, and digital transactions have become a way of life, not only for adults, but also for young people, including college students. Managing their own money is a big part of their first steps toward independence, especially if they’re studying away from home; and whether it’s paying their own bills, shopping, or booking trips, online transactions are always the easiest, most convenient way to go.

Metrobank Card offers young people a way to embrace independence with YAZZ Prepaid VISA. It is a reloadable general purpose prepaid card that offers the following: (1) Shop at your favorite stores, as long as it’s VISA accredited; (2) Make online purchases – book your flights, buy your OOTDs, use it in PayPal, etc.; (3) Have an instant savings account without worrying on the opening and maintaining balance; (4) Do a cheaper 24/7 money transfer or receive allowance from family members; and (5) Withdraw money in any BancNet ATM.

YAZZ had its series of campus tour and spotted the new YAZZkada, a group of students from different universities, who embodies the lifestyle of YAZZ. On top of being good in their academics and the “IT” students in their respective schools, they are on-the-go, loves shopping and traveling, gaming, receiving allowance from their parents, and saving up for something big. They are Charlene Dimalanta (University of Santo Tomas), Cedric Rosal (Adamson University), Jovy Bequillo (Jose Rizal University), Katrina Danganan (University of the East, Manila), Vivienne Mendoza (Centro Escolar University), Zachary James Nicholls (Arellano University), Kim Rico Cinco (Lyceum of the Philippines University), Kenn Maeda (San Beda College), Sarah Pineda (Lyceum of the Philippines University), and Trina Castillo (Far Eastern University).

Cedric, whose family is in Davao, finds it awesome how his mom can easily send his allowance through it. “I no longer have to line up at money remittance stations just to get my allowance. My mom just sends money directly to my YAZZ card, and I can withdraw it anytime,” he shares.

Viviene is thrilled at how hassle-free it is to get your own card. “It’s perfect for students like me because you don’t need to bother with so many requirements and go through a long process before you can get a card of your own,” she begins. “All you need is one valid ID so you can purchase it from any participating outlet. Load it, and you’re good to go!”

“It helps me budget my allowance because I can view my balance online, anytime,” says Kim. Kenn, on the other hand, is having a lot of fun using it to make purchases online. “YAZZ made it easier for me to subscribe to Netflix!” But for Jovy, he uses it for school, “I use it in paying school miscellaneous,” he shares.

Katrina is excited to save more money with YAZZ. “It excites me thinking that I could load my extra money in this card to save and use it in so many ways! I really feel more responsible handling my money especially now that I am a young adult.”

“Less cash, less ‘kaba’. When you have a lot of cash in your wallet, you’re more prone to theft. For me, YAZZ card’s cashless transactions are “check na check!” This is what Sarah loves about her YAZZ card. For Zach, he said, “It matches my lifestyle because I’m always on the go and cashless transactions save a lot of time and space in my wallet!”

As for Trina, being chosen as one of the YAZZkada, she felt nervous and happy at the same time. “Typically, campus ambassadors are carefully selected based on personality, popularity and enthusiasm, that’s why I’m really proud and blessed to have been selected for this kind of opportunity.”

And what does Charlene have to say to her friends? “If they opt for easy and fun shopping experience, they should get YAZZ too! YAZZ is always with me, wherever I go. It’s the best partner!”

The Metrobank CardYAZZ Prepaid VISA not only makes cashless transactions more convenient, it offers a lot of other features that makes it students’ new best friend. To get your own YAZZ Prepaid VISA, go to any partner stores and present one valid ID.
